A Promising Series from an Industry Leader
DW continues to strive for better sound quality and release the results with new models in their DW Collectors Series Snare Drum line. The series contains something for every drummer, from a variety of high-grade core materials, to the size and fit for every style of play and musical genre. The bronze snares in the line produce classic snap and pop, while the wood models warm up the tone and add rich color to the mix. Woods include maple, birch, bamboo, and oak. Adding to the overall appearance, various finishes and a choice of 4 hardware styles give a custom look to every snare drum from DW.

This series is very new, so many drummers are just getting started with their DW Collectors Series Snare Drum. What those playing them appreciate is the obvious care that has gone into each design, and the employment of high quality materials in each model. DW’s commitment to these drums is shown by the vast array of sizes they are making available.
Dislikes
Too early to tell. Most drummers think the DW Collectors Series Snare Drum models are priced about right for the quality they possess. The stock heads may lack durability, but most stock heads do.
