Rich And Powerful Sound

Pearl puts its best foot forward with the Pearl Masters snare drum. Featuring a 6-ply maple shell and the warm, which gives a robust tone one would expect. Pearl-best components create a drum that sounds great and will perform well gig after gig. The 6-ply maple comes to 7.5mm, and can be scored at 5.5X14 and 6.5X14. The hoops are sturdy die cast. The rods are stainless steel and feature brass swivel nuts. The snare is a superb choice for classic and modern rock, rhythm and blues, and jazz.

Likes

Those playing the Pearl Masters snare drum rave about its powerful, deeply resonating sound. Tuned low, it is rich and mellow. Tuned high, it still delivers a crisp crack that has plenty of punch beneath it. Drummers also appreciate the quality die cast components and other materials which, when coupled with its superior sound, make it a highly rated, best selling snare drum.

Dislikes

There’s not a lot to dislike. Some drummers looking for a more metallic sound, something with greater ring, mention that it is difficult to tune the Pearl Masters snare drum to achieve that sound. The trouble is, that’s not the sound the snare was designed to deliver.

Overall Rating – 5 Stars

This is a high-end snare drum that has the materials and the sound to prove it. Many touring professionals have one at their side. The Pearl Masters snare drum also features a price that is more affordable than others in its class. Because of this, the whole package rates 5 Stars.
